Lick Creek: Bill Nevels

Bill Nevels plays lead guitar, percussion, and provides an earthy baritone to the vocal mix. He possesses the rare combination of formal music training and intuitive musical ability. His guitar solos are very melodic and extemporaneous.

Bill's music experiences include playing in a “big band,” small combos, and a solo act. He played bass guitar with the “Contrasts,” an R&B group in the Cincinnati area. He also played bass for a while with a popular folk-rock band back in the ‘60s.

Another songwriter who added two original songs to the band’s first CD, Bill continues to write songs that span a wide variety of musical tastes.
